Grant Dougherty — President / CEO

As President and CEO, Grant leads CCS with a strategic vision of providing innovative benefits planning and human resources consulting coupled with high-touch customer service. Grant challenges his team to understand the issues CCS’ clients face on a daily basis. An industry veteran with nearly 35 years in the field, he founded CCS in 1989. Under his leadership, the company has experienced solid growth year to year in an increasingly diverse range of sectors.

Grant began his career at the Travelers Insurance Company as an Account Executive, responsible for sales and service of employee benefits programs. In 1976, he joined AON (formerly known as Frank B. Hall Consulting Company) as Vice President of National Accounts ranging from 1,000 to 22,000 employees, then in 1983 joined The Hogg Robinson Group as Executive Vice President in charge of Group Operations with consulting responsibilities for national accounts. He is a graduate of Fordham University.

Doug Rabbino — Executive Vice President

With over twenty years of experience in employee benefits, Doug is recognized as a leader and innovator in welfare benefits design and administration strategies. Doug’s background in large group underwriting and client services provides CCS clients with unparalleled expertise in the areas of renewal negotiation, alternative funding, benefits budgeting and tracking, and cost modeling. Doug also serves as a key resource within CCS on regulatory compliance issues including HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Care Reform.

Doug is a graduate of Muhlenberg College with a degree in Business Administration. His previous industry experience includes work in the Prudential Insurance Company’s group insurance operations division, and at The Hogg Robinson Group. Doug has been a Principal with CCS since joining the firm in 1994.

Christopher J. Labbate — Executive Vice President

As Executive Vice President at CCS, Chris is responsible for helping to direct CCS’ sales programs. His understanding of business and the benefits market place has afforded CCS the opportunity to work with clients in both the public and private sectors. Chris uses his expertise to help clients see how innovative employee benefits and HR programs can positively affect a company’s bottom line. He has become an authority on consumer driven health plans having articles published and speaking at national forums on the topic.

After graduating from Cornell University, Chris joined a management development program at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. He moved to the insurance brokerage side of the business in 1995 when he joined CCS. He has been a Principal of the company since 1999, and holds an M.B.A. in marketing and finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
